PROPERTY & CONVEYANCING

At Co-Legal, we make property transactions simple, transparent, and stress-free. Whether you’re buying your first home, selling an investment, or refinancing, our conveyancing lawyers handle the details so you can focus on your next step with confidence.

We understand that property decisions are major life milestones. That’s why we take the time to explain every step, ensure your rights are protected, and keep you informed from start to finish.

Buying Property

Buying a property can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. We’ll review your contract, explain any risks, and make sure you’re fully protected before you sign.

From liaising with your lender to final settlement, we’ll handle the paperwork and negotiations on your behalf.

Typical Steps Include:

  1. Obtain pre-approval for finance
  2. Find your property and notify our team
  3. We review and negotiate your contract
  4. Exchange of contracts
  5. Completion of conveyancing and searches
  6. Organise settlement and key collection

Selling Property

Selling a property involves more than just finding a buyer. We prepare a compliant Contract for Sale, guide you through negotiations, and coordinate settlement so you can move forward quickly and securely.

The Selling Process Includes:

  1. Preparing your Contract for Sale
  2. Listing and marketing your property
  3. Managing offers and inspections
  4. Exchanging contracts
  5. Coordinating conveyancing and settlement

Stamp Duty & First-Home Buyers

Stamp duty is a government tax on most property purchases. We’ll calculate your duty, advise on concessions, and help you apply for First-Home Buyer benefits if you’re eligible.

You may qualify for NSW first-home buyer benefits if you:

  • Are over 18 and purchasing as an individual
  • Include at least one Australian citizen as a buyer
  • Have never owned or received a first-home grant in Australia
  • Are buying a new home under $600,000 or building on land valued under $750,000
